Some consider sunflower seeds to be one of the world’s healthiest foods. A handful will supply you with significant amounts of vitamin E, magnesium, and selenium. In addition, sunflower seeds are a good source of manganese, phosphorus, vitamin B6, folate, and niacin.
This raw, sunflower spread is one of our favorite recipes! Easy to make, 100% raw, vegan and refreshing! You’ve got to try it!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of soaked raw organic sunflower seeds
1/2 Tbs organic coconut oil
1/2 medium-size organic orange bell pepper
2 Tbs of lemon juice
1/2 medium red organic onion
2 cloves of organic garlic
1 organic cucumber
homemade mixed greens sprouts
sea salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Soak your sunflower seeds overnight. Rinse the next morning. Chop the bell pepper into small pieces, crush the garlic and blend them with the seeds in a small food processor. Dice the onion and add it to the mixture. Season with sea salt and lemon juice to taste. Slice the cucumber diagonally and spread about 1 tsp of the mixture on it. Garnish with fresh sprouts and pieces of bell pepper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes and serve!
