RAW SESAME PISTACHIO BALLS

Sesame seeds are the latest superfood. They’re not only good for your heart and blood pressure, but they also balance hormones! This recipe is a delicious way to introduce them into your diet while having fun making these Raw Sesame Pistachio Balls at home.

The sesame seed has been around forever as an ingredient in Middle Eastern cooking dishes like hummus or falafel. But it’s more than just being a tasty food – recent studies show that this little powerhouse of healthy fats can do wonders for you too! According to some research, sesame seeds might improve cholesterol levels and lower high blood pressure; other studies have shown their ability to help regulate hormone production during menopause symptoms such as night sweats or hot flashes.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups sesame seeds

1 cup raisins

1 cup pistachios

1/2 cup white chia seeds

1 cup Tahini

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/3 cup maple syrup (adjust to your own taste)

1/2 cup finely shredded coconut flakes

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 tsp sea salt (adjust to your own taste)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Soak the seeds overnight in purified water to eliminate nutritional inhibitors and toxic substances like phytic acid, tannins, and goitrogens. The following day, rinse them and dehydrate for about 2 hours at 115F.

2. Put all the ingredients in a large bowl.

3. Mix them thoroughly until well combined.

4. Form bite-size balls and place them in the freezer for at least 3 hours.

5. Now, they are ready to be served. Keep them in the freezer at all times and always serve chilled. Enjoy!
